Anyone have any tips on where to look to get one. I have been looking in the newspaper and on autotrader.com for the last few weeks without much gain. All the 5th gen civics that are there are sedans and/or automatic.
Any help would be appreciated

Honestly, it shouldn't be hard to find any civic out there. The problem really is finding one without a million miles on it. Are you looking for a hatch, or ac oupe?

phone book, look up all the car dealers in your area that do not sell Hondas, call all of the asking if they have a 92-95 Civic. This really is the best way, and you usually can get a good deal.

thanks for the replies.
I am currently looking at two different coupes today. I want to make a decision today so any help would be greatly appreciated. Anyway, one is a 93' ex with 115000 and all the standard ex stuff. He is selling for $4500 but I think I can talk that down. The other one is a 95' dx with a little under a 100000. It has a cd player but no power package. Both are in great shape and both the same colors (red).
So with that limited amount of information what do you guys think. I cant really wait that long because my jeep was stolen and the insurance company is taking the rent car back on tuesday.

I like the EX xuz of the power options. I have a DX, and I honestly can't stand it. I WISH I had power windows. 115,000 is not too bad for a 93.

If I had to go with one or the other it would be the EX. There is no comparison. 2 years makes little difference on the car. Mine's a 95 civic coupe (red btw) and has 119,000 on it. Runs just as good as when I first got it. If you can, get the option package put in it. The ABS and all wheel disc brakes really help.

I've been looking for a decent hatch for while now. They are either beat or they are over priced. I thought I had one but the dealer said it was sold :-( I do believe it depends on the area you are in as well. Civics are huge here. It's hard enough to find a normal (for lack of better word) civic not to mention a hatchback. I'll probably get yelled at for saying this in the Civic forum, but I've decided on a 98 Neon R/T. Not quite so many people have them either.
