i need more help

im installing my new header this weekend on a 2000 acura. my problem is, i have no idea on the correct torque specs for my acura. so if any one know the correct amount , i would be thankfull. one last thing, any thoughts abouts short shift kits ( if they help, pros/cons, are they worth it, so on/so forth ) again any info given, i would be thankfull. :banghead: :banghead:

torque for a 2000 Acura Integra LS is 124 ft-lbs @ 5200 RPM.

o ya, a short shift kit will help. shifting is effortless with sum, its easier to reach all the gears, 5th doesnt seem so far away. But be ware sum short shift kits but the shifter way too low...

You're best bet would be to just call a shop. Or maybe tighten it a little after its "tight," about as good as you can do it. A machine would probably do damage if you're not careful.

Watch it on the short shifts... as you prolly know, some of them are just a shorter stick and don't really reduce the throw... if you're going to do it, put the money in; get a good one.

You want a straight answer? Torque that b*tch so that it won't rattle off. You want the right answer? Get a Helms manual. Common sense should guide the wrench if you don't have the manual.

dont torque the hell out of the headers. i did that to one of mine and didnt notice and it just keep turning and turning and you get the idea. tap and die here i come. could thing i caught and didnt have to tap it to much and the orginal bolt fit right into the hole.

Ok use what b16 said but also listen to blklighting "Torque that b*tch so that it won't rattle off" but remeber "dont torque the hell out of the header or tap and die here i come":bigthumb:

c'mon guys here is the answer head bolts for the manifold/header 23lbft the bolts on the converter 16lbft :rolleyes:

I just torque mine to 250 b.c its max spec on my torque wrench. That's good right? :bloated:
