View Full Version : Wtb: S13 240 Wtb: S13 240 MACspeedTUNER 07-08-2003, 08:17 PM Suislide 07-08-2003, 09:09 PM good luck finding a twin cam for under $1500. there ARE some deals out there for earlier models. a member on this site, ghostchild316, got his hatchback for $600. it was in rough condition, but it ran and still does. not sure of the mileage on it though. ghosty? my friends mom also got her '91 Coupe for $1400 CDN, which would be even cheaper in USD. it has 240K (KM) on it, and needs a few minor repairs, and it's auto, but for the price, it was a damn good deal especially considering it was a DOHC. i've found some deals like that around my area too. all you have to do is look. keep an eye on autotrader.com, your newspaper classifieds, the Buy&Sell, and the classified sections of all the Nissan related websites there are, such as www.freshalloy.com or www.zilvia.net. it might take some time, but eventually, you might find a deal. good luck! ghostchild316 07-08-2003, 10:48 PM Got it with 164,XXX MILES. At first the guy wanted $1000...Then a few months later he said 800 or 700(sorry cant remember..) Then finally on the day we were gonna go pick it up the owner called us saying he destroyed the clutch and said he would let us have it for 600.. At the time It Needed a new passenger side fender, paint, rims because it still had the steelies with only 2 hubdubs on the passenger side and they didn't even match either:bloated: , has no power windows/locks, needed new backseats and driver seat because they looked like shit and were dirty as fawk, tune up, had no stereo and still doesn't have one:smile: had dings and dents, The interior had soo much sand I couldn't believe it and smelled funky:bloated: Dashboard was still good though:wink: had a metal john elway badge where the letters SE would normally go on the newer models(I ripped it off as soon as It was limped to it's new home:smile: ) Power steering lines leak a little, The clutch was pretty much GONE. Normally on a manual car,if you put it in gear and let off the clutch without giving it gas it would die,but my car didnt...It just idled like an automatic...Thats how bad bad it slipped. then While I was unbolting the pressure plate, pieces from the clutch disc surface were literally just falling out. owell But the night I finally installed the new one in and put everything else back together,well...lets just say I drove it like I stole it:devil: I'll never for get that night...I had so much fun:biggrin: It was my first time driving stick too..My friend said I did pretty good too for my first time.Never killed it:cool: Yup yup, That's my story and I'm sticking to it:bigthumb: here are some pics 3 days later after I got it http://images.cardomain.com/member_img_a/374000-374999/374281_1_full.jpg http://images.cardomain.com/member_img_a/374000-374999/374281_2_full.jpg http://images.cardomain.com/member_img_a/374000-374999/374281_6_full.jpg http://images.cardomain.com/member_img_a/374000-374999/374281_4_full.jpg How you see the car in the pics is how I got it(I'm no good at photography though..) Of course the car doesn't look like that anymore.I have teardrop rims on it now and I replaced the fender and added a lip too. The car as it sits now is primer gray and is gonna be painted this coming weekend:bananasmi w00! Alright I'm done:biggrin2: mynismo 07-08-2003, 11:58 PM ghost, your pics make me love the 240 even more  there's even something about older-looking 240's that get me off.... that broken in look.....
