Hey all,

I just applied for a couple of credit cards, and got turned down for both. Any of you know any companies that give cards to people without any credit? I need a new clutch, and I need a credit card to pay for it :(

Bank of Mom & Dad:biggrin:
Try and get them to co-sign or something or maybe take a loan out with them if you can't get none anywhere else. Plus credit cards are bad, I only use cash.

Here in Oz, you can get Visa cards that are Debit (connected toyour savings account), but work hust like a credit card.

right when I graduated from highschool I got a capital one credit card. I had no credit, so they approved me for $500. If you keep paying it off, they keep raising you limit. In two years mine is like $8000 on that card.

Get an ACT clutch BTW. I just put mine in a month ago, its awesome.

Do not apply for too many credit cards...it lowers your credit points (or something to that tune) and then your credit gets even lower and you REALLY (edit*) won't be able to get one. And, yeah, Capitol One is a good source for a first card.

You can find unsecured credit cards, but be prepared for outrageous interest rates. Try not to keep a balance on there any longer then you have to.

Go here http://www.credit-land.com/index.php?sid=10 you should be able to find one in there.

Credit cards are the  I just got out of a ton of debt a few months ago. I got sucked into the game and have 5 different cards with balances, a big loan with my car as security...all this on top of paying rent and utilities. It sucked paying off all that stuff, but I got it done. I kept one card with a low limit on it for emergencies. If you get one, just keep one. Visa and Mastercard are the most accepted ones so get one or the other. There is no need to have a Sears, gas card, department store card etc because they all will take Visa or MC. Keep it just for emergencies and don't make frivolous purchases.

The Capital One College CC is easy to get.

CC's are evil. Platinum = endless temptations.
