Dear god thats £0.22 a litre, nearly 4x cheaper than here, that is soooooo unfair, gonna cry now, i spend over £60 a week on petrol from just cruising around, i get the train into london so all my miles are pleasure miles, i think america and england should share the cost of the oil, so i get it for £0.40 a litre and you guys get it for $2 a gallon, i think its fair, hehehehehehhe IwannaDRift 07-08-2003, 05:18 PM Well, I don't got a car but, I do make vroom sounds when I walk in my Rubber Slippers.. does that count? I clean the inside like once in two or three weeks (ride alone most of the time) I really don't like to see cars with dust or bird escrements (?) lol the only dirt I like to see is brake dust in the rims :icon16: eheh and white rallying dust from when you go play on the gravel roads  btw another good thing in my escort is that engine :) it's an 1.6 diesel and it's got 270.000 km now and there's barely any oil consuption and in a normal ride it make 6.0 litres / 100 km. the only problem I got with him was some scratching in one or two gears and I had to open the gearbox. all the rest was just normal maintaince. and it has allways been full throtlle on it, like city, highway, gravel, everything. :P there are thousands of engines like that in excelent conditions in junk yards but the next engine ford did, the 1.8 d fiesta boss for eg is almost extint cause it lasted far lass than the 1.6 previous generation... The first is from February and the second is from March. I don't have any new ones, but I don't imagine I ahve to prove that I have a '96 Civic DX. In these pics I'm racing it in SCCA solo events, where I will remain until I have enough money to buy a second, dedicated racecar for clubracing (read: years from now.) All I've done to her is Tokico Illumina shocks, Tokico springs, Nuespeed front strutbar, Skunk2 rear bar, Progress rear sway bar, and an AEM cold air intake. And, the Si rims which I am getting rid of in favor of Konig Heliums ($100 for 10lb wheels?? Can't beat that with a wet noodle!) I'm pretty competitive in my class, even with my SOHC non-Vtec since I've done all the work on suspension-- solo is all about driver skill and handling, but power does help.... willimo 07-12-2003, 02:17 PM #2 max_speed 07-12-2003, 07:47 PM Well this is my car...... I've raced in european championships too, Junior (100cc Piston Port) in 98 and ICA (100cc Reed Valve) from 99 to 02. the photo is from Argenville 2000. Unfortunatly I've stopped and I've been only driving for fun like from month to month... :frown: :sly: yea, i know how fustrating that can be. i have not raced in about 10 months due to school work and exams. i only got my race licence in january last year and i have only done 4 races so far. i am VERY inexperienced. im not doing too badly though:biggrin: freakmech 07-13-2003, 06:31 AM This is a link to my car pictures. these pictures are old and the front is painted now and more engine work has been done. i never updated this page with new pictures cus i hate the people who post on it. the car is ultra clean in and out. people constantly ask me if i have a new engine in it. i just take care of it. i love Silvias and this is basically a 1:1 model for me haha!!! http://members.cardomain.com/freakmech Jonno 07-13-2003, 06:37 AM Originally posted by freakmech This is a link to my car pictures. these pictures are old and the front is painted now and more engine work has been done. i never updated this page with new pictures cus i hate the people who post on it. the car is ultra clean in and out. people constantly ask me if i have a new engine in it. i just take care of it. i love Silvias and this is basically a 1:1 model for me haha!!! http://members.cardomain.com/freakmech Is that half Silvia and half 180sx? (not sileighty, but the other way around, forgot the name) freakmech 07-13-2003, 06:57 AM Actually its an American 240sx, only 5000 were imported with the trunk. most were hatchbacks or sil-eighties . i have a bad habit of calling cars by there real names such as i call Miatas there real name Eunos. sorry but i would like to make it JDM. the only difference is the front end. i can get the lights and grill and spoiler but not the hood. cost to much to ship to the states but im working on it.
