How to fit female (Fujimi-Aoshima) wheels to the back of a Tamiya
Toyota Supra.

Take the rear dif and cut of the drive shafts, drill the dif out as shown with the red circle with a 2.5mm drill.
Using a 2mm dia steel bar (like you get in a Tamiya 350Z kit) fit thro' the dif. and cut to length to suit your needs. (wide arches or not)
I have used Fujimi Brembo brakes, but I'm sure SAS's new brakes will work as well and look better.
Assemble as shown

The Fujimi wheel set I got before (Yes, only on Fujimi kit) had little pin things in it, like most fujimi kits do. You could most likely use that by drilling a hole through the brakes and fitting the pin like you would in a normal Fujimi kit. :confused:

Hey Steve, that's a pretty good way to go about it. You're effectively turning a Tamiya kit into a Fujimi kit.

Would this work for a Skyline, too? I've got some Workmiesters that i'd like to fit onto the model, and don't really want to go through all the trouble of converting it from female to male.

well i just used this tecnique on my ford focus and its worked a treat, tho i couldnt find metal rods i have actualy used wooden rods that were 2mm in diameter. but this has the added advantage of allowing me to push and glue the arm where i needed it.

Hopefully it works if not search for CDT0033 Steel shaft for gears. 2mm Dia (10 - per pack)
Steel shaft for gears. This may easily cut down to the required length with a hacksaw. 2mm diameter. Supplied in lengths of 75mm.
