Hey; I need some tips, if someone could help me and give some advice on what to check on the car, and what to look for to see if the car is on a good state, talking about motor here. The car is a 93 civic DX and is on mint state but don't now about the motor.

thanks

check all fluids. check the oil level and look on the dip stick and see if you see any water in the oil. check the radiator hoses, check the overall condition of the engine like how it looks. look around where the block meets the head and see if you see anything leaking, check the tranny case and see if there is any leaks. take it for a good test drive make sure to check if you hear any funny noises or grinds while driving. best thing to do is get a mechanic friend to come with you and help you look over the car or just pay a good mechanic to come with you and check it out.
