V-12 projectTEXAS-HOTROD 07-05-2003, 11:22 PM I posted a thread in the "7-series" link and haven't had any responses. Since it seems that this link is more popular, I thought I'd post my thread here also. I have a 5.0L V-12 (M-70) that I am performing a lot of fabrication work on so I can install it into a 1968 Camaro as a "Pro-Touring" project. I have removed all the electronics and installed Chevrolet H.E.I. distributors to the ends of the camshafts. I am also making a tunnel-ram style intake to incorporate 3 Webber down-draft carbs (I.D.F.s). I will soon mock the engine in the frame and build a set of headers. I made the 12 exhaust flanges and installed short exit tubes (looks like it belongs in a P-51). My question is, is there a supplier for a set of performance cams for the 5.0, or can they be reground more aggressively? With the better flowing intake (the stock manifolds sure look wimpy) and good exhaust, a good set of cams would really bring it to life. Any help would greatly be appreciated!
