I like the earlier 80's models, the LP400S. Sure, there not as powerful as the later QV's but the don't have the ulgy US legal bumper on them.

Heh...

yeah i know what you mean (those US legal bumpers are ugly)
could it be possible to import a Lamborghini Countach LP500 QV from europe to the "States" without bumpers has to com on ????

It was made halfway thru the year 1988. in other words, 1988.5

It has the side strakes that were later used on the Anniversary model.

Not that many made, and of those that were, only 14 are right hand drive. Of those 14, mine is the only white/white version. So, you could say that my Countach is totally unique!

Same as any other - tricky!!

BTW the 1/2 is not because it was made in 1988.5 but because it falls halfway between the normal QV and the Anniversary.

i always thought it was because they did a minor change to it, but it wasn't enough to be a new model

Hey Scarecrow....Back in 1990 I had a ride in exactly the same car...It was white with dark blue leather & had the rear wing RHD 1988 1/2.
The guy who took me got up to some amazing speeds!! (on A roads not motorway!)
IT WAS AWSEOME!!!!!! ....I wonder where that car is now?:worshippy

It's still in the UK. Somebody did tell me the name of the guy who still owns it, but I can't remember it at the moment.

It's still going strong, and it has been known for that one and my own to be seen in the same place at the same time. The last time that happened, however, was before I owned the car but you never know, it may happen again.

Thats good to know Scarecrow....I really loved that car. I waited all day for the guy who owned it to come back. Got a ride in it though .....it was FAST!!

favourite has to be the original (bar the lp500 concept..) lp400.

no rear spoiler, no funny side strakes, just pure wedge form.

it might not be the fastest or the best put together but i like it for it's purity of design.
