stripping paint off Bburago models

Does anyone have any experience with stripping the paint of current Bburago die casts? Especially the latest SF90 Stradale?

I've tried "normal" polish remover, chemical paint remover, brake fluid, chlorine cleaner, scraping it off with tools…
Nothing seems to work well. I was able to get the big flat surfaces quite clean, but around angles or on the inside the paint just won't come off.
I always soaked the pieces for 72+ hours.
Removing chips of paint with a knife seems to make more damage to teh metal than to the paint.

Any ideas anyone?

I did this once for a Bentley GT3... and I had it sandblasted at a local craftsman shop. 10€ and no hassle...

That looked very interesting and promising, and I was on my way to order their paint remover, but thanks to f§$%ing Brexit Hiroboy won't ship to teh EU anymore, and all other online shops I checked are sold out and are only selling their remaining products of Zero Paints… :crying: :banghead:

If it is a metal diecast, you could try an automotive paint stripper once all plastic pieces have been removed?

Fully agree. I have used such paint remover. See post#1 in my WIP.

Aircraft paint remover. Takes about 20 minutes and the paint will be gone.
