1989 Nissan Bluebird ZX-E Manual Idling Problems...Primo_Primera 07-05-2003, 01:01 AM Hey! I'm new, Ive got a wee problem. We have Idling problems in our Bluebird. Could anyone help? When you crank it up she's fine, then she revs to 2,500 RPM and sits there (even when warm) then driving around, she sits at around 1,300RPM. We took it to Nissan and they blew the Airfilter etc out and cleaned it out. They Said it might be a Stuffed ACC valve... Would that be true?? Matty:bigthumb: Primo_Primera 07-07-2003, 09:47 PM Anyone ?? Sensa1 07-11-2003, 01:44 AM Hi, I am not a technician, but I'd probably get the vehicles engine tuned up. By the way what's an ACC valve? Best Regards, sensa1 13th July 2003:confused: Primo_Primera 07-16-2003, 07:01 PM AAC*** We got the engine tuned like 3 times it is the AAC valve, it lets in air or something.. Matty:bigthumb: Fix Prob :smokin: The problem may be the same as what my mate had. eaven once the car warms up to running temp the automatic choke sometimes comes back on and puts the idle up. this also floods the motor when driving giving you less power. to check take the air cleaner off and look down the carby if the top butterflys are closed over the choke is still on. you can buy a kit to convert the auto choke to a manual choke for about $15 at Autobarn. fraz 12-28-2003, 12:56 AM Fix Prob :smokin: The problem may be the same as what my mate had. eaven once the car warms up to running temp the automatic choke sometimes comes back on and puts the idle up. this also floods the motor when driving giving you less power. to check take the air cleaner off and look down the carby if the top butterflys are closed over the choke is still on. you can buy a kit to convert the auto choke to a manual choke for about $15 at Autobarn. The car was a ZX-E, this means its injected. I have a carby sgs bluebird and have had auto choke problems. The hot element that works the choke often fails after a while. The best thing to do is just rip the thing off :) I also have a ZX-E and had a problem with the cruise control. The vacum actuator got tired and held the throttle at about 2200 rpm constantly. I have to replace the unit to fix the problem as i like cruise control vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
