02 Honda CRV ignition switch bad?

We replaced alternator last year and just replaced the starter. Also has a good battery at 13 volts. Car is not starting, not turning over. Just a click is heard from the starter and fuse box. Soo, we tested the ignition switch with a multimeter. White wire that I’m guessing goes from battery reads at 11 -12 volts. Black/white that I read goes to starter reads at 2.0 volts. The other wires such as heater blower wires read out at 10-11 and the heater still turns on. We’re thinking the ignition switch may be bad, can anyone confirm this before we go buy the part?

We replaced the ignition module under the steering column. Did not fix the problem. We’re leaning towards maybe a corroded wire that leads from positive battery terminal to starter.. does anyone have any insight for us? Any tests we can try? We have a multimeter

Per the wiring diagram you should have battery voltage on the white wire at the ignition switch. When the key is in the Start position the White/Black wire should also have battery voltage on it.

Have you also measured voltage on the White wire when the key is in the Start position to see if you are still getting battery voltage there or it it too is dropping to low voltage? If it too is dropping there is likely a loose or corroded wire between the battery and the ignition switch.

The white/black wire also provides relay coil voltage to the starter disable relay. If that's the relay you are hearing click, then it seems unlikely that you're actually only getting 2 volts or so on the white/black wire. I doubt that would be sufficient to close the starter disable relay.

There are several reasons why your car won't start. These reasons would be a dead battery, defective switch, faulty starter, clogged fuel filter, empty gas tank, and some faulty wiring. What you can do is to diagnose those parts and see if the problem is fixed. However, I still recommend to ask for a mechanic or visit a trusted car shop to have it properly diagnose and asses the issue to avoid worsening the problem. Hope this helps!

If you read the first two posts in this thread you'll see that the original poster has started to diagnose the issue. Based on the engine not even spinning and only hearing a click that right away rules out a couple of items as the root cause (clogged fuel filter and empty gas tank).

I appreciate you offering suggestions, but please read the original issues before posting and tailor your responses accordingly.
