The Ford Aluminum Man O' War Cylinder Block is 110 lbs less than the iron block 302 Windsor. Aluminum cylinder heads are said to remove 50 lbs vs. iron. According to gomog, a 302 is 460 lbs. With aluminum heads and block, it supposedly weights 300 lbs. That's 61lb/L...I find that hard to believe.

For comparison purposes...

OHV:

a Chevy LS2 is ~460lb with 6.0L of displacement...77lb/L
a Chevy LS3 is ~480lb with 6.2L of displacement...77lb/L
a Chevy LV3 is ~360lb with 4.3L of displacement...84lb/L
a Cadillac L26 is ~360lb with 4.9L of displacement...73lb/L
a Buick/Rover 215 is ~318 with 3.5L of displacement...91lb/L
a Buick TAperformance 3.8L is ~290lb with 4.5L (max) displacement...64lb/L

DOHC:

a GM LLT is ~380lb with 3.6L of displacement...105lb/L
a Cadillac N* is ~470lb with 4.6L of displacement...102lb/L
a Chevy LT5 is ~630lb with 5.7L of displacement...111lb/L
a Chevy LQ1 is ~460lb with 3.4L of displacement...135lb/L

No such thing as a 5.0/302 Windsor. They only had the Windsor stamp on a 351.
