For us this, was a big challenge, make a new 1/12 modelcar by hands, without the help of digital technologies. A return to the past, when in 1994, with a friend of mine, make for the first time, a 1/12 resin formula one modelkit. We started looking for information all around, books or magazines were welcome. Some help come from private archives. To the end of this research a drawing was born, and now we will see if all the pieces will have found the right place.

Hi all , fortunately the owner of the only one real car, come to us in good condition, has salved the old genuine radiator, in fact, to enjoy the car on the way, it was modernized with electric fans. Mostly, he was so kind to gave me some pictures of it, se we were able to capture the original shape.

Reading the Ferrari P2 dossier on the french magazine Auto Passion, is clear that many doubts may arise among the five chassis number of these sports car. For various reason the comparison between th documents is unclear. The 1965 Targa Florio P2 chassis should be # 0828, and had different engine version that year. The car was called 275 P at Le Mans test days as well as Targa Florio and the engine was a DOHC. When on other chassis the car was called 365 P the engine was a SOHC. The following pictures are for the engine of the model and the first step to built the chassis. Enjoy them.

Hello everyone, after the trip to Sebring, you can see some picts in racing section, back together on the model. Some parts of the engine chassis were damaged so I replaced them with new elements in brass and other with a white metal pipe.
With the help of a graph paper, I glue all the parts of the upper frame.
These two frames must be fixed at 90° each others.
Enjoy.

Hello everybody, just before leaving for the long journey of Le Mans, test days and race, the latest updates. If you do not like the white metal supports of the front suspension arms, you can use the same but in p.e.

So, just for untrigue, the first test with the front part of the body, you can see under the skin, the radiator snd the tank.

The tires will be in resin and it was impossible to resist the temptation to put the first on the model ...

Hello everybody , I'm back . For a long time I have been absent , two were the problems , firstly I get two different surgeries and the most important about the model , several errors in the design of the model . Now I'm ready to go again.

Do not worry Michel , also my english is not so perfect .
In my latest post you can find the picture of the model assembly template. Could be useful to set the model , all the measurement of the parts to make it you will find in the instruction . To made it you need a lot of plastic 2mm thickness and one base 40 x 24 cm . Whith this tool you will can determine what the correct height from the ground . All the best .

Hello , compared with post #7 , you can see the necessary modifications to the engine frame , this because the first version of the exhaust pipes were too thin , 2.5 mm of diameter . With the correct diameter of the pipes they touched at various points so I prefere to change the design of the frame . Now the exhaust pipes run free to the back of the model

Hello All, in the body the rivets are highlighted but not all are perfect so if desired you can drilled 0.7mm and use MFH rivets or various soldering balls . Find everything on the aftermarked.

Hello everybody, the Job to update the body is ended and you can see the result , all the rear parts are now made with the help of rapid prototyping. For any solution I have a reason, for the rear hood this was made to get a perfect loopholes, impossible to have so clean in any other method. The lower rear parts is too thin to get it with resin.

PS The rollbar is not fixed in the pictures because ie well to spray white and red separated.

Enjoy.

Hello evrybody, my work proceeds very slowly, but proceeds. I decide to put rivets only in the visible parts , despite this they are still 400. I chose the brass nails ones from the Amati Company , Torino, Italy.

The dashboard is on fire . I prefer to scratchbuilt all the buttons. They are made with some little white metal clippings, present in every good model spare parts warehouse

Another little step forward. On the front chassis you have the supports for the suspension arms . I used the p/e parts , so i cut the white metal , so the group will be more strong
