really the only one i'd consider other than the stock black one would be a red one from the type r motors.

sure its pretty poser-ish, but if i HAD to choose one, that'd be it.

Chrome Type R??? How do you know it's a Type R cover if It's chrome. The only thing that makes the Type R different is the color.

if i owned a type R, i wouldn't touch the valve cover. look under the hood of one u see, an its jus...pretty. my buddy w/ his 2000 ITR would pop the hood an it'd jus be clean as a whistle...the red makes it stand out, i'd never replace that w/ a riced out chrome one...but, thas jus MO.

i mean yeah, the red does catch everyones eye, but i mean the fact that the Type R has that option to change it with the name on it.

yeah maybe you dont want to make your car a poser with type r stuff i know i wouldnt really want that either but just some options. this is a honda cover but honda makes the engines so whats the difference. not saying i like this but just an option.

uhm...all the valve covers say "honda motor" on them...

i've yet to see a LEGIT "acura" one.

The prices for those are outrageous though. Why not just buy the gaskets and sealent, take that thing off, and go nuts with sandpaper and engine enamel?

I dont get that, but if it means what i think it does, go to japan and find an acura.. they dont make motors, just glue an "A" badge on your valve cover... also, real-deal type R motors, dont say it plainly like that on the chrome one.. if you want a valve cover that looks good, in my opinion, since it doesnt make you faster or slower, is the carbon fiber one. granted, the red or blue cover looks good, and is a dead give-away to the obvious, but so is the engine code, which doesnt need to have a color.

By Type R I meant the oem one. That shit is just a B16 valve cover with the words Type R machined on it. So if I machine Type R on my block does that make it a Type R???
