1992 Ford Taurus pulls to the right

Unfortunately, Gypsy, my 1992 Plymouth Acclaim blew a head gasket on me, that'll be another story for when I can get into chat again as I'm only able to access the internet on my phone now.
The fortunate side of this was that I found a 1992 Ford Taurus with only 168,500kilometres on the odometer and I only paid 300 bucks!! The engine runs just fine and I've already put 500 kms on it, one issue I noticed was that the steering would pull to the left, I figured it was probably in need of a wheel alignment so I took it to the mechanic who pointed out that a steel belt was coming apart in the left tire. I was able to find a single winter tire at pick a part popped it on. Now it pulls to the right, albeit not as badly.. Any ideas on what could be causing this?

Well, it could be due to mismatched tires. One way to check that theory would be to swap the front tires left to right and right to left. If that has no effect, then do the same on the rear.

While it's in the air for swapping tires, spin the wheels and make sure you don't have a brake caliper that's hanging up.

I would expect that the person doing the alignment would have noticed if there were any loose steering or suspension parts, unless they noticed the bad tire before even getting it on the alignment rack.
