2002 GMC/Intermediate Steering Shaft/19153614/19329330

Having a clunking problem that i believe is caused by the intermediate steering shaft. Replaced it with Dorman shaft in 2010, but the clunking is back.

Have found two GM part numbers 19153614/19329330 to replace the shaft. Which is the latest replacement part?

Does the higher part number always denote the latest part release?
