1999 intrepid oil leak

Sons 99 intrepid spewing oil from dipstick tube hole--had been sitting about 6 months--wouldn't start--installed crank sensor---166,000 miles. Installed new PCV valve--cleaned heat exchanger and hoses--got a feeling rings are stuck or PCV system clogged somewhere els---not really getting any oil smoke from exhaust--just a tremendous amout of oil being thrown over the engine and exhaust. Am I missing something or is there more to cleaning the PCV system that I missed. just need to get it running without leakage to move on down the road. Thanks
