Many things can cause this, general tune up issues, low fuel pressure, poor fuel quality, dirty throttle body, marginal related engine sensors.

First, I would scan for codes.....

Second, on a cold engine, I would read engine data, and make sure the intake air temp sensor and the coolant temp sensor read the same........

Then you do the basics, like Max suggested.....

Also, try starting the car cold with the MAF disconnected, when it won't start....

Pull the vac line to the fuel pressure regulator, and check for the presence of fuel in the line.....

Try lightly stepping on the accelerator pedal(to open the throttle plate, just a little), and see if it starts.....

Have a can of carb cleaner handy....when it wont start, pull the snorkel off the throttle body, and have someone crank the vehicle while you spray carb cleaner into the throttle body(don't step on the gas pedal at all).......
