Actually the Grand Nationals used a turbo 3.8l V6. And the GMC Cyclone and Typhoons used a turbo 4.3l V6. But judging by the way that Grand National was idling... its a good bet it wasn't a V6. It sounded alot like a big block V8. Those V6's can be made to lope but they sound alot more hmmm... 'smaller' even though they can make great power. What we heard sounded like it had some nuts to it. Could be wrong.. just thats what it sounds like to my friends and I. We still think its badass though. :) Neutrino 07-01-2003, 11:51 PM Originally posted by RedNeck383 Actually the Grand Nationals used a turbo 3.8l V6. High Octane 07-02-2003, 01:53 AM i think when the turbos kicked in my speaks blew up Teabagger Vance 07-02-2003, 02:16 AM the car is ugly! Why do the looks matter? That car will own any of those decal covered, neon painted, folgers coffee can muffler equipped cars with a 14 foot tall wing any day..... Shinez 07-02-2003, 02:27 AM HEy...Whatdya know... a FWD Decal Covered car with a neon paintjob and a 4 foot tall fin.......... Man..I dunno bout that GN http://www.meguiars.co.uk/graphics/focus_big.jpg http://www.nopi.com/eventpictures/Gateway/pro%20racers/RJ%20Simrock's%20APC%20Focus%20Launching%20copy.jp g Teabagger Vance 07-02-2003, 02:31 AM OK 99% of those types of cars, and excluding race cars. :loser: Shinez 07-02-2003, 02:34 AM That's more like it :thefinger Teabagger Vance 07-02-2003, 02:49 AM Bah, you know I didn't mean racecars in the first place...I meant ricers..... :loser: Shinez 07-02-2003, 02:53 AM So....If I were to make an exact replica of that GN..Paint it bright blue..and put a huge fin on it..what about then? Teabagger Vance 07-02-2003, 02:55 AM And how often do you see people driving a bright blue version of that car with the same setup and a giant fin? :thefinger -The Stig- 07-02-2003, 02:59 AM I bet that GN cost a fraction of that of those race cars and I bet runs in the 9's... probably what about what they run.. If not that GN would most likely give them a run for their stickers and wings. Shinez 07-02-2003, 03:05 AM actually hte APC focus run's 7.3's consistantly..not 9's.....And I doubt that car was cheap...I mean..You can get a supra into the 9's with a simple package...Although that costs 33,000 dollars i think it is?.....but that also gets you your own version of the "titan motorsports" supra.. -The Stig- 07-02-2003, 03:32 AM Originally posted by Shinez HEy...Whatdya know... a FWD Decal Covered car with a neon paintjob and a 4 foot tall fin.......... I will have one of those in my collection someday:devil:... Polygon 07-02-2003, 05:17 PM Man I love it when he went WOT and those turbos spooled up.
