Pulsar exhaust questions

Hi I currently have a 1989 Nissan Pulsar hatch to play around with on the property. it has a 1.8l 4 cylinder which runs great although when i had no idea about mufflers and exhaust i drilled holes next to the tailpipe which makes it buzz and sound pretty bad so i found a good looking 2.5"/9" glasspack that would at least sound better than the holes. im wondering weather for a deeper sound i shouldd have the muffler closer to the back or towards the manifold (getting extension pipe is easy) other question is how would it actually sound would it be obnoxious (it still has cat and a resonator) or would it sound plain horrible. im also thinking of making 2 of the manifold runners longer than the others using flex tube to give it a rumble sound similar to a subaru. thanks for help here are some videos of my current setup.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AL4LzP6QFPQ
