91 z24 random stalling?

I have a 91 chevy cavalier z24 If that matters. It stalls periodically with what seems like no pattern. The only times it does stall however are either when im starting it up, or when im making a turn ( usually going from that second gear and downshifting to first). But it doesnt do it every time. It also feels like it pulls forward a bit right before it stalls as well. Any thoughts would be helpful.

I havent noticed any loss of power or any other symptoms. check engine light is not on so no help there.
