This is going to be a fictional build of 918 LM car. Too bad Porsche has already stopped production on this car, would of been great to see it run at Le Mans against some other of the worlds best GT cars.

For this build I'll be using the base 918 kit along with paint from Scalefinishes.com and Studio 27 decals

To hopefully end up with something like this

Thanks for the replies thus far guys.
Got abit of the body work started last night.
Street version panel lines filled in on the front. I'll have to scribe new ones for the race version later on.

Mirrors installed ( from a Tamiya Porsche Carrera) and exhaust outlets opened up (they need abit more refinement). Original mirror locations and side fendor vents filled in as well.

Rear license indent raised and filled in. I forgot to take pics of the process for this, but I just scribe around the top and sides till I broke through the plastic. Then I pushed out the flap, used lead from a .5mm mechanical pencil wedged into the gaps to hold it in place then filled in the gap with CA glue. Once dried I just sanded it out. Still needs more sanding and maybe some filler, but for a first try at this method it worked perfectly.

Sorry for the crappy cell pics. They didn't look this bad when I first took them.

Good start. I have several street cars that I would thought would be fun to make into LM GT1 cars.

Quite a few owners have already had the idea, even Porsche sell 2 livery options.
Martini Matte Black - available from Porsche as an option.
Revell Sell a version of this too
