Wheels are small again (real car has F:20inch R:21inch but kit is F:19inch R:20inch) ,anyway much better than BMW i8.

But again, Revell was wrong with the size of the wheels.

your work is stunning, can I ask, do you scribe panel lines and add some dark paint or oil in the gap?

Yes, I scribed and remolded panel lines. I used Tamiya enamel black in the gap:wink:

I love them all.

It looks simple, clean but so delicate!!!

Of course, you'd be the first to finish this kit! Love it. Someone is going to have to make better decals...do the Revell ones really replicate the lime green background of the scripts?

Decals are not good in condition. Lime green backgrounds are not printed partially, so I retouched it by paint.

sad they go on making silly mistakes on a so important part like wheels are.
revell makes really nice models, I just hope they fix those issues in the proper way for the future.

I only just recently spotted this kit so was taking a closer look at the actual car again.
is it better looking than the Carrera GT?
I'm not sure but a new kit is always a good thing.

Nice work! Only McLaren P1 missing from that hybrid collection. I wish there will be a model of it soon? Meanwhile I think I'll have to settle for the 918 and i8.

Nice work! I saw a trio of 918's yesterday, one in RSR livery, the other in Gulf livery, the other standard smoke silver w/the green accents.

They all had charcoal color engine cover mesh...how good or bad was the Revell decal to deal with? Not sure anyone will make a proper molded metal mesh engine cover, but the silver doesn't look quite right.

is it better looking than the Carrera GT?


If you finish the kit, it looks as good as Tamiya Carrera GT, but kit quality is not enough. IMHO Carrera GT was the quality peak of Tamiya carmodel (not Enzo).

Decal for engine hood is good, it fits well on the clear part. Color appears something like titanium (similar to Tamiya X-32 titanium silver):wink:

Your builds are simply amazing!! Even a revel kit can be turned into a master piece like yours. Thanks for sharing, I hope revel US will release it here along with their I8.

Amazing job on the kit but what leave me astonished is the way the engine grill is rendered, despite I havenot in mind the real one this is absolutely convincing as a scale model. Fantastic...... and only 5 days long job....

Excellent photography and model of course. Mind if I ask how you get the lighting and focal length setup? Do you use a lightbox for these shots?
