1999 3.0 Transmission

Have a 99 Taurus Wagon with 75,000 miles. Was driving it home and heard a clicking noise, stop to looking around the car and got back in it. The car would not move forward only backwards. Any idea's I have check all TSB's Its not the converter as it moves backwards, could I be lucky to have bad solenoids?
