Custom 3D Car SupaStealth TT LM 8.3L V10 Twin TurboChargedSupaStealth TT 06-30-2003, 02:13 PM Well this is my baby, she has evolved greatly over the past year and a half of developing it. The car is still being redesigned, i feel it will be a never ending process. well, i'll just post the pic. please leave comments. Also, the car has a very temperary paint job, just thought i'd note that. http://www.nfscars.net/phpbb/files/ssttlmpm.jpg numbware 06-30-2003, 03:58 PM wow, that pretty awesome! :bigthumb: crxlvr 06-30-2003, 07:40 PM nice use of the 500/500/500 Viper motor there, looks like a good design. MancuZ28 07-01-2003, 11:05 AM looks amazing man!! You should definitely try to get your hands on 3Dstudio or something that could make a better render of it. What program are you using? SupaStealth TT 07-01-2003, 01:02 PM well, i'm currently using a free program called ZModeler, i've been using it for like 3 or 4 years now, i've used the trial version of 3dsm but the 30 days isn't enough for me to decide if its worth the money, but ya know. this is my second scratch made car, I designed a car i call the SSTT SR, which also uses the Viper 8.3L V10 that is Twin Turbocharged (there is just somethin' about that combo that i love :p) If there is any thing that you guys would like to comment about, like possible changes that could be made or...? umm, the photo isn't too current, its like 5 days old, i have added some vent lookin' things on the side and also i'm trying to see if i'd rather have the engine mounted longitude wise (not sure if i used that correctly, but...) and i'm also lengthening the the car between the wheels (wheelbase?) wow, my terms are all messed up today. but yeah... thank ya  spididdy 07-01-2003, 02:01 PM thats an ill carbut if you could render it in max or somethin else. it would look soo muchbetter. if you need info on you getting max just pm me. ill help you out. SupaStealth TT 07-02-2003, 01:16 PM Thx for the offer spididdy but as soon as i start college i get some sweet 3d drafting programs. i don't remember the names right off hand but they're pro. nasTone 07-02-2003, 11:29 PM If your are really interested in 3D "drafting" programs, take a look at Autodesk Inventor, Catia, or Solidworks. I have heard people talk about PRO-E but never tried that one. I have used some of those programs to design some projects for work in the past. If I recall, I think out of the 3 I named, Solidworks is the least expensive. Just incase you were curious. By the way, nice job on the car. SupaStealth TT 07-04-2003, 03:45 PM Yeah, i have autodesk inventor, i'm goina start learning how to use it sometime, but i've been just overrun with ideas i have to put them on my car on zmod before i forget. I'm not sure if my college uses solidworks, it sounds familar, but i don't know. I'm goin' to Milwaukee School of Engineering if anyone goes there from on here, they'd know. nasTone 07-05-2003, 12:19 PM I live right in Milwaukee. MSOE IS A GREAT SCHOOL!!!!!! One of the engineers in my design group went there. Kind of costly but like I said before, it is great.:bigthumb: SupaStealth TT 07-05-2003, 01:48 PM Yeah, i'm really excited to go there and use their rapid prototyping machine, ya make a 3d model and send it down to this million dollar machine and it makes it for ya by laser cutting paper and glueing them all together. I cant wait to do that formula SAE thing too raise like 30000 and build a small formula race car! oh yeah, i got accepted to marquette too, but i thought that msoe had a little more to offer for me. nasTone 07-05-2003, 09:10 PM My company probably designed parts for that machine. LOL Slipknot 07-05-2003, 09:36 PM awesome SupaStealth TT 07-06-2003, 12:22 PM well, here are some updated pics, they're unpainted because when i make new faces i have to redo the whole thing, i'm still in the process of messing with the faces so... What i'm working on is the front air duct for the radiator, i'm trying to restyle it to make it look a little more appealing. i have also added some side vents behind the front tires. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
