To swaybar or not......

Do I put in the beefer swaybars or not? Accord has been lowered about 1.5inches with Eibach ProKit, Tokico shocks and it all rides on a 215/45/17 wheelset. For someone who has put in the swaybars, did you think the added harshness was worth the handling benefit?

i would say yes...especially since you are riding on 17's. You can never get enough good handling.

I'm still in stock 15" rims dropped about 2". Sways reduce the rock so handling "rocks".

Adding or increasing the size of the rear sway bar will have the biggest effect:bigthumb:But increasing both would be best . Any type of bracing you can add is helpful - strut/tie bars. A front wheel drive benefits from a stiffer rear end, opposite for rear wheel drive.

rear helps front.....interesting. I did notice that when I tied the front towers together the front was stiffer, took some mushiness out of the
front during cornering. But what are the physics behind stiffining the front to get better response up front?

Stiffening the rear helps reduce understeer, which is terrible in any FWD. The front end pushing in corners is not good.

I agree with Jackasssi. You want to throw out the rear end when cornering and take advantage of Honda's "plowing" phenomenon. Stiffening up the rear on FWD cars helps do this very thing. Good call Jackasssi!:bigthumb:
