Cool! There's something different.

Does CBP use these as actual patrol vehicles, or just publicity/show cars?

I have to admit that the first thing I thought of when I saw was Nasa's Charger chase car.

The U-2 (ER-2 in Nasa trim) is a notorious beast of a plane to land. For many years, the Air Force has put pilots in muscle cars to "drive formation" with landing U-2s, to give landing the pilots real time help. They've used a number of various cars over the years (Corvettes, Camaros, GTOs, etc), and Nasa's current version is a Charger.

Another good topic for custom decals.
