Aoshima is doing a pair of new Lambos as part of the two new super car tooling they have been talking about, and they finally getting around to announcing the Rocket Bunny V2 kit

Diablo and the Sesto Elemento, no photo of the Diable yet

They're certainly milking that Lambo license. Would have rather seen a short tail McLaren race car, or even the road car.

Me too. The Rocket Bunny is cool, but not so cool that I need one.

Well... This time I'm glad I didn't bought the eighty81 resin transkit like I did for the version one rocket bunny....

The Sesto? Bleeeeeuccchhh. They better redeem themselves by doing the Huracan GT3.

They need to get active on Social Media again for better feedback in order to avoid blunders like the Sesto.

Sesto should have been released a few years ago, and I think it's going to be a tough sell in 2015 (or 2016, depending on when the kit will be ready).
I'd be more interested in the series 2 Gallardo, Balboni, Super Trofeo, and Super Trofeo Stradale.
Another confusing thing is that the 2010 Sesto is determined to be a better seller than the more recent subjects, like the McLaren P1 or the Huracan. Maybe the development of the Sesto kit has been delayed?

Kinda just rambling but I grew up during the countach era I've not been excited bout a lamborghini since I saw the sesto in need for speed movie.

Beemax and Aoshima are two different companies.

I'm sure what nw94rs meant was that with whatever business agreement Aoshima has with Beemax for their M3 whether it be through outside an contracting or licensing deal, Aoshima could be rolling in the $$ right now.

I'm sure the hold up is probably due to design issues or because they're swamped by other projects on the table (240rs and the just released EF3). Either way if people were willing to wait 30 years it won't hurt to wait a little longer. LOL

Beemax and Aoshima are two different companies.

How I've understood it was beemax designs the kit, and aoshima produces it. Either way both companies stand to make a great deal of $$$ once this kit releases.

I thought for sure it would be Tamiya that would release a 1/24 scale m3, they recently came out w/ a DTM M3 r/c car which would lead me to believe that they had the licensing available to do a 1/24 scale as well.

either way its a win win for the modeling community.

I used to have a 3.0 CSI and my brother had a 3.0 CS. Very nice cars but heavy. Sold it and got an Alfa Romeo 1750 GTV and 2.5 GTV6 as they are lighter and handle better. Would love a 3.5 CSL model in plastic that was good.

Today it got shared on Facebook.

Love the Diablo GT and the Huracan...they did the right wheels on that!

Pagani should be popular too (and we kind of knew about it before), but not sure if I'll get one.

Thanks for sharing!

If you copy/paste the verbage in each post it will translate in Google Translate. Just not the entire page.

Honestly it's likely because Aoshima may have made a poor tactical decision when they went for the long-tail McLaren instead of the short tail. If the long-tail version didn't sell to expectations, and with Fujimi short tail kits out there already, we may have to live with the fact that if you want a short tail you're stuck with Fujimi, Maisto, or expensive resin.

I've now built 4 Fujimi short tail kits...they sort of satisfied the itch, while continually reminding me that they could have done a LOT better.

I had bought a couple Fujimi long tail kits...and after four short tail builds, I sold off the long tail kits. I've endured enough. I'm not even buying an Aoshima long tail. The ship has sailed...

I suspect the best seller of the new items will be the Huracan, followed by Pagani, followed by Diablo. In Aoshima's favor, the Diablo GTR is a great subject I'd love to build, any other Diablo would be a no-sale for me, mostly from market saturation of Diablo kits by other companies in the past. They can get a lot of mileage from the Huracan, and it is a hot new car.

Fellow modeler with more of a finger on the pulse says Lamborghini mandated a push on the Huracan ahead of Aoshima's other projects, and we may be seeing a consequence or two of that.

I've been having a hard time getting into new Lambos. I mean they're sort of cool looking, I guess- but everything since the Murcielago looks the same to me. And I can't seem to bother to care if/how the new ones are different.

But speaking of Aoshima releases-

I was mucking about on 199.co.jp, and I found these (http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/search?typ1_c=112&state=0&searchkey=aoshima%201%2024%20mobile%20catering)!

Now that's something new and cool from Aoshima.

Agreed, and emphatically.

Baracca's build is as jaw-droppingly gorgeous as you can expect from anyone. It could easily pass for the 1:1...

if we could just unsee where Aoshima bashed in the front of the door.

I routinely call out the domestics for less than that...
