Possible Swap?97cavi 06-29-2003, 06:22 PM i haven't heard of many street cavi's that have put V8's in...i went to the GM dealer the other day to get a price for a 2.4 L and it was like 3000...he said a 350 would cost about 1600...possible? SpyhunterlV 06-30-2003, 12:20 AM FWD... RWD... let's see ... you need a rear end, new transmission to go w/ the 350, have to hack up the floor pan to fabricate a transmission tunnel, custom mounts............ than figuring out all the custom wiring, troubleshooting... etc.... blech..fuck that. youll spend more on the RWD... than dropping in a new 2.4L... it'd be more cost efficient to build up a 2.4L and drop it in... 10:1 JE pistons Eagle rods worked over crankshaft blueprint/balance the engine remove the balance shafts port polish the head crower valvetrain larger valves 2.3HO intake maniofld big bore throttle body custom cold air battery to the trunk (for the cold air) RKSPORT header 2.5inch catback.. man you'd have a streetable car running the stock PCM for less money.. 97cavi 06-30-2003, 07:42 PM yea but i'm not thinking money...i'm thinking RWD cavalier wit a LT1 or some nice V8 in it d_Man 10-28-2003, 06:53 PM yea but i'm not thinking money...i'm thinking RWD cavalier wit a LT1 or some nice V8 in it YES! that would be awesome. definately put those imports back in their place too...behind us. keep the big block alive my friend, because there's no replacement for displacement!
