My friend in Japan thinks the top is the TA64 Celica WRC, and we agreed the bottom looks like an EF Civic.

Indeed: OH MY GOD !!!! 30 years or more to wait and then... OH MY GOD !!!!

The second one cannot be anything other than an EF Civic. I can't contain my excitement about that!

The blog is looking for volunteers who can supply reference photos of the "race version" of the car in the second photo, so assuming it's the EF9, Beemax is probably releasing something like this:

Haven't already Tamiya and Hasegawa (and Fujimi ?) released this Civic generation ?

No one has in plastic model form with respect to a 4th generation Civic Hatchback, heck it's never even been in any of the Gran Turismo games.

This is the EG6 which Hasegawa have released. Also Shunko have done the decals for this particular car.

No. That is an EF civic.

This is an EG6:

81 sells a resin EG, but none have ever been done in plastic.

A race version of the EF would be fine with me! Those cars were so simple that scratching a convincing stock interior would probably take all of 20 minutes

So I am guessing these are figments of my imagination?

It's just a typo for EF, since blubaja is talking about 81's resin kit.

Sorry for much confusion. Yes. 81 makes an EF in resin.
