So, how likely is my fuel pump bad?

Get up for work. Head to car. It is a 99 GTP with 189000 on it. She's got her issues, but overall, she's strong and reliable, and all is well.

I sat down, everything seems normal. Turned key, started...and immediately died. The car I mean, not me.

So, I reset the ignition, and put key in the second detent, which I'll call RUN. I noticed that I didn't hear the fuel pump kick on. Tried to start anyway, and it just cranks and cranks, no ignition.

I tried all sorts of things. Foot on gas, switched to neutral, tried it with the MAF unplugged. Still nothing. I pulled the #14 relay and jumpered with a lovely piece of coax that I stole from my brat's television, as I had no other wire around to work with, and it still didn't kick on.

I'm about to get a ride on up to the parts store to get a replacement pump. Is there anything I should try OTHER than that? I don't wanna drop that coin until I have to.

Know what? It was the fuel pump.

NOW, all of a sudden, the climate control is set at 75, and won't respond to any input. WHAT?
