mclaren f1, I started by spraying the body zero mclaren orange, it kinda messed up so with half a bottle left and a third of a bottle of mclaren yellow out my cupboard I added the two together and thats its color.chassis is built, engine just bits left but the block and exhaust, housing is all but done.i used some fujimi etch on the engine cover openings, they just fit if glued right.so just interior left.
the aventador, t2m etch set, all openings have grills, chassis is built and engine.basicly just got to finish the interior and door panels.been building very slow over last 6weeks or so.slight gap at top of front windscreen and getting the engine cover how I wanted was a pita, every time I painted it an hair or dust or something else just wanted to spoil it.
painted with zero graphit grey after seeing someone elees build and liking it.

I decided to polish the body, so after 3600 micromesh you can see the mclarens orange peel has been dramaticly reduced.its hard in some places as you just can get in there with fingers and even on the EASY parts its touch and go trying not to expose the plastic under the paint.
the aventador wasnt painted with polishing in mind and I removed a lot of the parts and polished it and it was going great although a few areas had rubbed down to plastic but this wasnt painted with polishing in mind so I decided I was going to give it a couple of mist coats of grey then 3-4 clear coats and go again.
then frkkin disaster!
The roof split! I was putting it on a stick with blue tac and it split!
Never mind.i have completely stripped it down to the body and isopropyl made short work of getting the paint off.the roof is glued but needs to dry good and will needs sanding smooth then I will black primer it and I think I will use a different lamorghini color I have here, either a orange or green.

Replacement kit and new parts for the aventador.i wanted one and it was my silly fault the others roof cracked so I wanted to finish it if possible.colour us mercedes clk silver, its what was in my cupboard at the time.

Body of aventador all but done,just needs indicators,wing just needs micromeshing and clear, the doors are all done.just the interior needs sorting.body needs shining with wax.
the lamborghini logo on the rear is etch blackened as the kits lamorghini logo is silver.
the chassis is done as is the engine.
soon move onto interior.
