Hey this wasnt my race but i tried to stay up with em!!!

Okay so at this light i pulled up behind a 03 supercooled ford lightning and next to him was a 4.6 rustang and a type r teg. The ricer kept revving and so did the stang then when the light went the lightning with an old man driving it ripped both a new asshole!. I tried my hardest to keep up with the lightning but he lost me in no time.

Once again not my race but very notable!

That's what happens when you race supercharged vehicles with almost 100hp more than you have:biggrin:

Those Lightnings are wicked quick. They can embarrass most Mustangs out there which just seems wrong. Oh well, that’s Ford for you.

Doubt you kept up with the typr R or the mustang as well.

I pulled even with lightening, walked him when I hit the 50 shot.

So, did you beat them all except the lightning?

I kept right up with the stang and the teg just fell behind

the lightning is prolly the only ford i would ever consider getting


but then again nissan would have to go bankrupt before that happens... and i still prolly won't leave


those lightnings are awesome though.

I wonder why it is that you see most Ford guys go with a fullsize F-150, or Lightning rather, as a drag truck, yet Chevy guys go with the smallsize S-10 and build it as a drag truck. You rarely see a fullsize Chevy Silverado or a small Ford Ranger built to be fast.

lightnings look better than an s-10 ever will and rangers.....they arent that eye pleasing either

and if your gonna have a fast truck why not have a REAL truck thats fast

hey, 7168548 have you had your truck to the track with the 4lb pulley? I have a friend with the same truck and he is looking into a few mods like a chip and cold air induction.

Not yet 94. Still waiting for my other mods to go on. I know I should be in the mid to low 13's with all the mods on my sig. Tell your friend to go check out nhtoc.com. A lot of cool guys there with alot of knowledge. There's one hd there running low 11's. Many are running 12's and 13's. I know these trucks aren't lightnings but pretty damn fast.:bigthumb:

14.8 would keep up w/ the ITR, an if ur a better driver, beat it (if it's stock). but after seeing a i/h/e/cam ITR run a 14.3...its a bit outta my reach too when they get some mods.
