swap b16 or b18cimet 11-13-2001, 11:17 PM hi guys, i just bought civic ex 94 and i'd like to do a swap. i'm still thinking to swap either b16a2 or b18c1. i live in st louis. i just want allmotor, no turbo or anything else my questions are: - how much is b16a2 or b18c1 and where can i get it - which shop can get it done in st louis - how much does it cost to do the swap - is it any problem with b16a2 since it's jdm 'cause it heard that the wiring is different than usdm -is it bolt on, no any modification - or maybe you guys have another idea of swapping with other engine my budget is around 3,000-3,500 including the labor cost thanks for your help please e-mail me at cimet@hotmail.com bye Rice cruiser 11-14-2001, 09:08 PM if you only have that much money you might want to get the b16a2 because then you could put more in the car, like rims or something, but this is only my opinion if it was me i would get a h22 aor b18 and turbo.:smoka: Dezoris 11-15-2001, 12:40 AM For that pricerange most swap shops, that specialize in it will charge you 3500-4k for the B16a2 swap. Pretty standard the Teg motor will run you up to about 5k. I dont know of any place in St Louis, but there is a good shop in IL, probably about 5-6 hours from you :) Racing Rice 11-15-2001, 02:34 PM Originally posted by Dezoris For that pricerange most swap shops, that specialize in it will charge you 3500-4k for the B16a2 swap. If thats all the money you have.. you will have to go with the B16a2 (If you can find one for that price, Dez is right your looking at atleast $3500 maybe even well over that though to have a shop do it.) youll be a really lucky person if you can find a B18C1 for that price. You could get a B18B for that price range installed, but its not really a good motor for an NA build up its more for Turbo. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
