do you think the lambo doors would look good on a CRX?

all a little too flashy for my tastes i like a car that still works. but to each his own. althought in my honest openion i don't think those doors would look good on any car they didn't come w/ i like the stock look.

Still cool to see how theyre done though.

the only cars that look good with those type of doors on them, the suicide doors, are the older type cars.

im doing my front doors, lambo style.. like u see in the pix..and the rear doors Suicide.. i already pantended the idea.. copy right laws. .. the whole 9 yards.. so dont take my idea.. i can sue :biggrin:

The autoloc lambo doors come out at a weird angle, instead of straight up. I prefer the decah doors. They are only for 5th gens and above though. I sent a message asking why they wouldn't work on 4th gens. They said you could make it work, it would just require an extra drilled hole in their hinge. Decah costs less than autoloc.:bigthumb:

Autoloc has a lot of stuff I like though. Just not the Lambo doors. I'm going to get the power windows and remote door locks within the next couple months.:iceslolan

I think eventually i'll be gettin the autoloc lambo kit.. the lesser cost kit thats NOT automatic and opens and closes itself. I emailed Decah along time ago askin if they knew any other companies w/the "vdc" and they replied sayin i might be able to fit the doors. But 92 + doors are nothing like ours.. i think they just wanted me to buy it:rolleyes: But no matter what, im gettin VDC sometime within the next year. :biggrin:

hey guess what 'el loco civic' you know how many cars and trucks i've seen with lambo doors on the front and suicides on the back? it's nothing new, go to a sport compact show or gathering. you can't patent something you didn't invent, and that other people have, all you did was take an invention and use it.

nah...there was no way i could have the doors come out 3" and up completely vertical w/o interior modifications and it'd be out of the price range i wanted to charge :frown:

dun worry blu.. I've thought of the same thing at one point, tried several times to make it workable as a bolt-on, and dropped it.

I think we've all thought it would be awesome to have them straight up w/o having to open it normally... just won't work so far.. I'm sure one day someone will come up with it.

Even the lambo doesn't come out as it goes up... it just goes up.. and to do that, we'd have to have alot of custom body work done, including recutting the door jamb and door to an angle, recutting the front fender and front of the door to an inverse angle, and re-hinging... on top of that, we'd either have to (in some cases) cut the upper window channel off and have a new open channel added to the roof section, or cut part of the roof section out to have it welded to the upper door area (if equipped as such, as some cars have no upper window channel on the door, some CRX's, for instance... these cars would have no issues other than recutting the door at both ends, the fenders, the door jamb, and re-hinging.
