The wires to the rf speed sensor broke on my 01 sunfire replace the wires pluged it in and light went out but road tested and the abs and the red brake light came on unplug it and the red light goes out. Do the wires have to be twisted like original wires?

The ABS speed sensor wires should be what they call a "twisted pair". Have you had the code(s) checked to be sure you are chasing the correct problem?

What your saying is to scan it to see what code is setting. I have a Freind that has a tech 2. I have a cheep j 2534 can I do it with that, I have a old OTC 4000e
But not sure if I have the abs module been so many years sense used it never had to much trouble with the old ones.

Use the Tech 2.

Thanks I'll try and see what codes are being set.

If you have access to a Tech II, then in addition to checking for codes, go on a road test and look at sensor data from all 4 wheels....record the data with a snapshot...then plot it.......

If you are lucky, the circuit is open and reads zero.......however if you read data, then you have an intermittantproblem.....go into a parking lot and do start/stops, and figure 8's.......then when you plot the data for the suspect sensor(the one with the code), look for "spikes" in the waveform....always loved that Tech II....

I'm going to replace the connector and wire with correct one then retest.
Thank you
