Mrcoilover 11-13-2001, 12:08 PM Get an engine w/ dohc vtec Racing Rice 11-13-2001, 12:19 PM Do you just want a motor, or are you going to do something with the motor. If you are going to Turbo the new motor then go with a B18B(Integra LS), they are great for turbos and can be picked up pretty cheap (about $2200-$3000). If you just want a motor to just dropin and drive then depending on your budget,(prices excluding labor and vary depending on where you get it from) you can do a B16A2 (SI) for about $3500-$4000. A B18C1 (GSR) for about $4000-$5000, or if you can go big then go for the B18C5 (TypeR) for about $5000-$7000 Prices are average of what Ive seen.. You can find them places for cheaper if you look These guys have really good prices but dont know about the service:Cheap JDM Motors (http://www.hondamotorsonline.com/shop/) Rice cruiser 11-14-2001, 09:14 PM Some guy can hook me up with a h22 engine from australia don't think its that expensive, im thinking of putting a turbo on, what engine is easy to work with?? Cavallino 11-15-2001, 01:04 PM if you drop the h22 into your civic you're going to have to do some major suspension work to retain some semblance of handling. Id say just stick to the 'teg engines for an easier time installing them. Racing Rice 11-15-2001, 02:10 PM Definately go with the B18B if your wanting to turbo.. they will hold about 12-14 lbs of boost on stock internals with good tuning. Its way easier to install the the H22, the H22 does require a little cutting to get to fit right. The B18B will pretty much bolt right in. Rice cruiser 11-16-2001, 10:12 AM What type of turbo would be the best and easiest to install with out getting too expensive?? how much would it be to install? Racing Rice 11-16-2001, 12:49 PM Depends on what type of power your looking for.. Some kits will cost you about 3000-3500 (Drag, FMAX, RevHard), they come with bigger turbos and will produce more power then, say a little cheaper Greddy or Apexi kit. You can pick up a smaller kit for around $2500 or so. If you want big power Id look at the Drag, Fmax, and Revhard kits if your serious about it. Itll save you from having to get a bigger turbo later. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
