Hello Everyone,

I'm new here and I would like some help please. I'm thinking of building the 1994 F! Pacific car. My Question is, to make it as realistic as possible, do I need to get the smaller Tires & Wheels from a McLaren MP4/8. to put on the car. In 1993 didn't Goodyear have smaller Tires ? They also changed the color of the Tire lettering fro White to Yellow. I just want to get the Right Tire size on it so I can show it of properly.

Thank you all ! It's a pleasure to be here. If any of you need my Help, please feel free to ask. I'll do my best.

Sincerely,
Robby

According to FIA regulations the maximum wheel width was reduced from 457,2 mm in 1992 to 381 mm in 1993. Front and rear tyres became narrower from then on. Using wheels and tyres of a MP4/8 with yellow letters should be just fine for a PR01 as long as you don´t mind that the McLaren had Speedline wheels and the Pacific ones were Tecnomagnesio.
Are you going to take Tamiya´s B192 as base kit?

Thanks for the help Julian. I don't mind using the Mclaren wheels. If there are the proper wheels out there please let me know !!! Yes I'll be using Tamiya's B192.

Thank you,
Robby

I´m not building 1/20 scale models so i´m afraid i can´t give you any advice where to find the right aftermarket wheels for your Pacific.
But if i was you and didn´t want to buy an expensive multimedia-kit for the right wheels only, i would take the wheels of Tamiya´s Lotus 99T and make them narrower to fit the tyres of an MP4/8.
The McLaren´s Speedline wheels were 5-spokes, but the 99T kit has 6-spoke wheels like the Pacific.

For comparison:

5-spoke Speedline:

I haven't started these projects yet, just research. I'll use the Tyrrell 023 kit for the PR02.
