It makes the wheels look A LOT better...And maybe it is an illusion but the tires dont seem so fat after it has the lip on it

When he did it, the wheel was fatter... but after he sawed the rest of the remaining wheel off so the tire fits the rim.

he said tires. i'm guessing they look more 'low profile' ?? i don't know.. but this kind of deep dish is really.... awesome.. i doubt it would look good on my next model but i'd love to try this soon... definitely a++

He increased the diameter of the wheels too so the tire has more to stretch over, hence they look thinner. :)

this was all discussed in a how-to thread a while back.. he doesn't have wider wheels.. just deeper. the amount he adds, he takes off the backside of the wheel. therfore the tire fits the same.. and the wheel is the same width.. but it looks wider.
