What brand??? If it's a VAFC, the manual will help.

I'm buying a VAFC from a friend, do they add any horsepower or just make the engine run more efficiently?

You need to get on a dyno, do a couple runs for baseline, and low and then high engagement (about 3300 rpms and 8000rpms), find the torque curve and then set he vtec engagement to maximize your power beneath it to make power setting the vtec. In some cases the factory point is the best, in some it isn't. An AF gauge and a wideband o2 will help you adjust your air/fuel. The most power I have heard of is about 8whp. Don't do the butt dyno method.

:loser: If you add ITC (Ignition Timing Control) along side your VAFC you will start tho really get some power increase with the right tuning.. The addition of a VAFC will make your enginge more responsive also (again with the right tuning) coz there rich as hell from the factory esp in the high RPM... Get an exhaust and headers if you don't have them alreay..:bloated: :bloated: :bloated: :bloated: :bloated: :bloated: :bloated: :bloated: :bloated: :bloated: :bloated: :bloated: :bloated: :icesangel :icesangel :icesangel :icesangel :icesangel :icesangel :icesangel :icesangel :icesangel :bloated: :bloated: :bloated:
