It seems like forever since I started a thread here, but it`s good to be back.
Anyway, here is the chevelle I`ve been working on lately. It is the AMT `70 SS kit, which is a complete joke! The body and engine aren`t too bad, but they are the only good points. There were fit problems galore, especially with the interior/windsheild/dashboard fit. The driveshaft is just a raised "bump" in the floorboard, and meets up weird with the rear axle, which is about a scale 2 feet to narrow, and mounts about a scale 6 inches low (it really sags in the back). Interestingly enough though, the steering wheel , which is not a chrome piece, came individually wrapped in it`s own little baggy!!
For this kit, I worked out all the body imperfections, lowered the front end and lifted the rear, added wires and hoses, and added the wheels. Other than that, it was pretty much box stock. Let me know what you think!

They are the Aoshima Equips. I was actually considering not putting them on this cause I thought it was a waste of great wheels. But I think it makes the car look half decent. I would like to get another set and put them on a C5 vette! I bet that would look good, especially on a convertible.

Never knew equips would look good on a musclecar! Great job!

I was gonna say. Looks great nonetheless.

I agree with what you said because it's one of my favorite wheel sets.

Chevelle's looks good with big wheels. I like the color choice.

Looks real good Hawk! I Always thought gunmetal with black stripes was the best looking colour on a 70 Velle.

Wheres that yellow 67 Stingray you were making for us? I can still remember that model, you never did show it to us after you painted the body

Thanks Mopar.
You remember that??? Wow. That was a long time ago. The body is actually sitting right here on my desk as I type this, where it has been since I posted about it last time. I really dreading getting back to it for some reason. The red one was a real effort, and this one will be harder cause I am planning on using the stock turbine style wheels this time. Plus I have a couple ideas for 1/24 scale projects. I also have another 1/12 Camaro that will probably end up getting built before the vette.

Thanks again everyone.

Tonio, that Chevelle looks great!!! Where did you get those rims for it? They would look nice on the `69Z I am working on.

can we see the engine please?

Maybe if it stops raining here I will get more pics. The engine really isnt that great. I didnt take much time on the chassis/engine because the detail was so bad on this kit.

Thanks! Those rims are from Pegasus and are called "T's"; I think they can be bought off of their website. I also used Pegasus disc brakes on it.
