Changing Auto to Manual transBizo 06-19-2003, 08:38 PM Doing some # crunchin and i just wondered if ne1 can help me out. How much $$$ would it cost to change an automatic transmission in a 93-97 supra to make it a manual? Just curious, n thanx for ne info. Biz RScott 06-19-2003, 10:10 PM more than its worth probably... if you are making insane amounts of power that the stock tranny cant handle, i would look into having the tranny built built tranny + high stall torque converter = boost off the line = zoom Anicode 04-26-2004, 06:35 PM well i got an estimate for my 90 mk3 and labor was $1000 not includeing parts addicted 2 b00st 04-27-2004, 12:18 AM auto to manual is not worth the time and money. you would be much better off just buying a 6-spd supra. the number that is generally accepted is ~$5000. flyinMKIV 04-27-2004, 01:08 AM why would you want to, yeah changing gears is fun. But hell, the automatic TT supras(assuming that's what you have) are actually faster than the 6-speeds cause you can hold more boost. If your talking about putting a 6-speed in a n/a, it's really not worth the time or the money, they didn't come in those cars for a reason, you don't have the hp to really need a 6-speed if your n/a, no offense but it's really not worth the time or money. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
