Damn near any engine will fit; including Ford and Chrysler and AMC and Aston Martin engines...if you're willing to custom-fit the thing, change the transmission, move wiring harnesses, and fabricate new mounts.
How much work are you willing and able to do?
How much do you care about being emissions-legal?

you could even put a Cummings diesel in it also, if you wanted to go that route.
if you go to a big block, you will have to move the motor mounts, and go to a turbo 400 trans. the turbo 350 will not hold up well to a big block.
but as the other person said, the sky is the limit, and your wallet.

Any small block Chev/GMC truck engine will fit and bolt right up easy.
Or most any engine can be made to fit it.
First decide if you want bigger or better more or less power gas mileage.
What are you going to use truck for?
And most important how much are you willing to spend?
Also check how good the truck is and other stuff on it that is good or bad.
