Anyone been to HLJ recently? I swear the prices dropped dramatically. :bloated:
NSX - $15
Ferrari 360 Modena - $22
S2000 - $15
350Z -$15
Enzo - $23
Porsche 911 GT3 (metal plated) - $19
Are my eyes fooling me? :eek7:

looks like a combination of a swing in the exchange rate (good) and that for some reason, it's rounding the prices off (questionable).

Maybe Hobby Search's prices are influencing theirs?

They're still going to charge your credit card in yen, and as far as I can tell the yen prices haven't changed, they've just started rounding instead.

yeah, but now 1 dollar is worth more yen so you still pay less

How much do you usually pay in shipping though? I was thinking about placing an order, but I can usually get models pretty well priced at my semi-local hobby shop. I got the Tamiya 350Z for $21, and HLJ sells it for $15 but add shipping and does it still end up cheeper?

You benefit more from making larger orders off HLJ. Buying a single kit from them isn't going to save you money.

To a certain limit, if your package exceeds SAL specifications then it must be shipped EMS which is 60-80% more expensive than the UPS of old :(
