He just put up his A'PEXi GT-spec exhaust last week end. So mine this week end hopefully!! pix of everything too!! got my digi cam ready!! ghostchild316 06-17-2003, 08:35 PM Exhaust install shouldnt be too hard. All the piping runs under everything.Well maybe rusted/frozen bolts could be a bitch though.. Sanchi 06-24-2003, 12:54 AM WHOO HOO!! i installed my A'PEXi N1 Duels on saturday and it was fun. Eazy too, Dayna mine fit snug and perfect enough room for everything to move around alil but not bang into anything its a solid exhause. I heard some ppl complaning about the welding breaking off but there car is mostlikly droped to the floor!! dumarsses!! :thefinger its a solid product. ...but you guys told me it dosent get loud till after 3krpm's!!!! first gear and second gear is loudest. How about yours Dayna?? also is the grounding important??i couldnt realy put the ground on tight as the new piping is like twice as thick. did you attached that grounding strap?? anyone else know what im talking about?? but it is a KICK ass exhause!! My friend also install ed his GP sports on and now that is one fwking BIG tip!!! :bloated: :bloated:  dayna240sx 06-24-2003, 02:07 AM I welded the grounding strap to the pipe because it was easier than modifying the parts. I notice a big increase in power and sound right at 3400 rpm. Chlatboy 06-24-2003, 04:53 AM Good job with the upgrades man! If only i had the money to get some! Skool sure does take up alot of ur money! I hate buying books. And I was checkin Daynas cars! RX-7 crazy huh! I wish i had one of those too! mynismo 06-24-2003, 10:00 AM Originally posted by Sanchi WHOO HOO!! i installed my A'PEXi N1 Duels on saturday and it was fun. I felt the lost in low end, mid was smother but high end thats where i felt the extra power. 4k and up!!! mynismo haha beat you to it. My friend's got a shop so he had it in stock got the entire catback for $500. How much did you get it for Dayna?? ohh also if anyone needs parts i can get a good deal for you just let me know the part and ill see what i can do!!:bigthumb: ill post pix tonight my sis went to Los Vegas and took the CAMERA!! she should be back today. Ill post when i get home The grounding strap is pretty important... A company like Nissan wouldnt waste their money if they didnt think it was needed? I got my ehaust for $469 and the header for like $329... I got it from enjukuracing.com but right after I bought it, they raised their price. Sanchi 06-25-2003, 03:20 AM DANG!!!! $469!!! OMG!!! i should of asked first. i knew he wanted to make some money off it. ohh well its still a nice system. ya im getting all this weird things happonding to my car, my parking lights dont work now and my alarm took a shit. Not sure if the grounding had anything to do with it. i think im gona have to fix the ground tomorrow morning ASAP. Mark how much did you get your TOkico Blues again?? i got a quot for like $40 bux for one so thats what $160 for the set. :bloated: mynismo 06-25-2003, 08:20 AM my exhaust was $499 just now but they charged me $30 more for shipping and it came out to $570. and it's taking them a week and a half to get to me... people never order from advanced imports! just a bunch of hicks in southern oh. and they raised the price right after i ordered too. my tokicos were like $320/shippd. your getting a real good deal dude! i'll let you know if i need any parts in the future, but i highly doubt it, the exhaust is going on tomorrow early in the morning then i'm hoping nothing goes wrong with anything. im just gonna keep up maintenance until i sell it. i cant keep popping all this money into it unless im going to keep it for at least another few years. especially if im saving for an rb26 powered car. im think sentra se-r more and more, they weigh so light. if not im just gonna save and have someone do the swap on my car. what is a grounding strap???????????? mynismo 06-25-2003, 04:18 PM what's a grounding strap, anyone know? i got the exhaust today, looks sweet. its going on morrow morning. Sanchi 06-25-2003, 06:29 PM Originally posted by mynismo what's a grounding strap, anyone know? i got the exhaust today, looks sweet. its going on morrow morning. Great you got it now put it on!!! Are you doing the install your self if you are then you will know what the strap is, and that strap is the ground strap :bloated: ya but if you need anything just let me know this includes everyone else too  RalphCare 06-25-2003, 07:13 PM can someone post pics of the exhaust out of the packaging, or the whole underbody of the car with the new exhaust installed. that would be sweet :D oh oh oh !! can someone post a sound file of the exhaust too ??? that would be sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet. Sanchi 06-25-2003, 09:35 PM Hey Ralph i took the pix of it while i was installing em. RalphCare 06-25-2003, 11:14 PM wow... those are nice sets of bubble wrap rolls u got there.. must flow nice, with alot of popping sounds too ..... mind takin those off and showin us some skin and by skin, i mean metal. unless ur a woman :bigthumb: thanx alot though RalphCare 06-25-2003, 11:18 PM wait a sec. if those are duals , dont they split into two seperate sections for each side of the vehicle, or are they a dual-pipe , single side system.?? this i've never seen before, unless one of those mid pipes are rotatable and were put the other way just for pakaging. mynismo 06-25-2003, 11:25 PM no, the 240's dont have a dual exhaust that goes to each side of the car. unless you want to custom make one or pay over $1000.... ive never seen one at least. there is one section single piping that breaks off into two pipes, then on the other section it's all dual pipes going to the tips. just like in the pics... Sanchi 06-26-2003, 06:59 AM Well here are pix of that fun install day!! enjoy!! Mark i got pix of it on the car :biggrin2: Here in Cali it sprinkles once in a full moon and this happonds pisses me off!!! http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/962461113-1371_IMGsmall.jpg Traffic held me up forever!!! once traffic cleared up on my side the road back home gets jamed packed WTH!!! http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/101033113-1377_IMGsmall.jpg here is a pix of my cuz'es GP sport!! its HUGE!!! http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/867928113-1380_IMGsmall2.jpg I forgot to bring my Jack so i had to buy some ramps $23 bux!! http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/309464113-1381_IMGsmall.jpg We took off the stock and did a side by side comparison!! The stock was hella ugly, good think i got rid of that. http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/419586113-1385_IMGsmall2.jpg http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/827270bigpixofpipingsmall.jpg Here is under the car with no Exhaust i reved it with no cat back and it was DEEEPnLOUD!!!!! http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/565868113-1386_IMGsmall2.jpg After some WD40 and alot of sweeting we got it on very nice!! http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/225063113-1393_IMGsmall.jpg Here is a nice side by side!! you can see the size diffrence. http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/258517114-1402_IMGsmall.jpg okay im tired as fwk  gona hit the sack. Ill post up pix of my ST sway bar next week and my SubFram spacers next week too whoo hoo!!! Gud NITE...... P.S. can a MOD please edit the title and add 56k WARNNING!! Tankx NSX-R-SSJ20K 06-26-2003, 07:27 AM nice exhaust :bigthumb: ghostchild316 06-26-2003, 12:27 PM that exhaust looks kinda restrictive compared to the GT spec. The piping on it is huge and straight as fawk! For turbo applications only but you guys know that already.. Looks good though. Lookin at those pics made me realise how much I miss Cali:frown: shoulda took some pics of some graffiti while you were at it!I know you could see some nice tags while driving on the freeway.. mynismo 06-26-2003, 04:06 PM Originally posted by Sanchi http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/827270bigpixofpipingsmall.jpg wow your exhaust from that pic looks a lot different then mine, you have a couple bends in it, mine is straight as anything with the one slow minor bend. i would have had pics up before you if it wasn't for my gay drawing class :comprage1 here ya's go http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/247229Apexi-Dual-N1-Catback-S13-0.jpg http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/431572Apexi-Dual-N1-Catback-S13-1.jpg http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/138644Apexi-Dual-N1-Catback-S13-2.jpg http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/872115Apexi-Dual-N1-Catback-S13-3.jpg http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/402815Apexi-Dual-N1-Catback-S13-4.jpg http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/238677Apexi-Dual-N1-Catback-S13-5.jpg http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/707568Apexi-Dual-N1-Catback-S13-6.jpg http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/163440Apexi-Dual-N1-Catback-S13-7.jpg i really really like the exhuast... notice the difference over stock (the pieces of rust). this is a vast improvement. its not as loud as my last one, and that's a good thing. the last one's not so inviting... coolant is leaking all over the place, radiator's dead. getting an aluminum one. very nice tone, i may not even need silencers, but ill prolly still get them once i build up the bank account again. this radiator epidema is killing me... i wasn't expecting it. 90dgre weather... i heard aluminum is a lot better anyways, something like it cools down twice as fast. Sanchi 06-26-2003, 08:26 PM http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/827270bigpixofpipingsmall.jpg I realy like this shot its actruly 4 shots put togetter. A panaramic pix kewl huh!! But ya now you can see how bad the stock pipeing is on the s14. Im sure your s13 Mark was alot straighter. Wish you took shots of the pipeing for the N1 with out all the bubble wrap!! :biggrin2: mynismo 06-26-2003, 09:54 PM who cares about the reg piping.. i like seeing it on the car! you thought you're piping was bad... look at the first pic i posted. mynismo 06-26-2003, 10:58 PM sanchi... are you getting the silencers? i just ordered mine. it isn't as much loud as it is a very full sound. its very thick, and i think the sound travels pretty good. i also want to regain that low to mid end power... i lost a little, that's for sure. and i want an almost silent exhaust... too many cops in my area. dayna240sx 06-26-2003, 11:02 PM cops cant pull you over for loud exhaust can they? well they can (experience) but they cant do anything, at least in indiana mynismo 06-26-2003, 11:23 PM yea it's been done around ctown, you guys rock in indiana, it seems anything goes there. no echeck, loud exhausts... gees. its a dream place! dayna240sx 06-26-2003, 11:27 PM hell yeah, i love Indiana, amish and all mynismo 06-26-2003, 11:32 PM TheLogikal1 06-27-2003, 12:51 AM Originally posted by mynismo well ctown has http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/983274introPic.jpg so there! oh yeah? well chicago had http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/189303jordan.jpg and he gave us 6 http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/996566trophy.jpg s and i doubt that if http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/187726s_kobe_i.jpg and http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/316513lebry011602.jpg added theirs together, it still wont total what good ol chi-town has RalphCare 06-27-2003, 01:25 AM well... my thanx goes to everyone who posted pics of the exhausts they have and dont have (i dunno who owns what, i just look at the sexy metal) was a good piece of eyecandy.. except seeing the N1 in all its bubble wrappy g00dness  anyways.. if someone can record sounds of their exhaust and try to get the best tone recorded, so that it doesnt do injustice to the exhaust sound , that would be way c00L. :bigthumb: we could start an exhaust sound thread!!! :dogpile: this would help everyone choose their exhausts anyways.. thanx again. mynismo 06-27-2003, 10:21 AM Originally posted by TheLogikal1 and i doubt that if http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/187726s_kobe_i.jpg and http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/316513lebry011602.jpg added theirs together, it still wont total what good ol chi-town has watch what you say, kobe just declared he'll be a free agenctat the end of the year michael isn't half the man lebron is you'll see TheLogikal1 06-27-2003, 02:08 PM Originally posted by mynismo michael isn't half the man lebron is you'll see ill see? half the man? you, my friend, dont know anything about basketball. and i bid you good day sir:loser: mynismo 06-27-2003, 02:28 PM Originally posted by TheLogikal1 you, my friend, dont know anything about basketball. cleveland people know everything about sports buddy :biggrin2: vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
