Hey im looking to get some 18x8" or 18x9" wheels for my neon. does anyone know if they will fit and if they don't will wheel spacers be a good idea? Also what are the advantages and disadvantages of having wheels that big.

Any suggestions on tire size are welcome?:bigthumb:

If they aren't too tall, they're too wide. Perhaps with the right offset you could get them to fit... maybe. My big issue with big wheels is they slow you down.

the biggest for a neon would prob be "16 anything else might rub agaist the frame you might get away with seventeens

I have 17 x 7s and having rubbing problems only when the wheel is cranked all the way to the right or left. My car also sits pretty low, so the lower you go the more change you have at rubbing.

Here's my history with lowering/wheels:

- Eibach Pro Kit springs/stock wheels - no rubbing

- Eibach Pro Kit springs/16 x 7 wheels - no rubbing

- Eibcah Pro Kit sprints/17 x 7 wheels - minimal rubbing with wheel turned all the way

- Eibach Sportline Springs/17 x 7 wheels - definite rubbing with wheel turned all the way...it sound soo pretty :p

A friend of mine had 18 x 7s with the Sportlines and he couldn't even turn at all without rubbing, so we swapped out our springs (I had the ProKits originally) and both of our Neons were happy.
