New Project: Porsche Boxter w GT3 BodykitSchnitzermann 06-12-2003, 05:42 AM This is my new project, a Tamiya 24249 Porsche Boxter Special with Porsche GT3 bodykit (e-parts). Everything fits so nicely except the side skirts. Need some modding here. bigfrit 06-12-2003, 06:05 AM not bad , great idea actually ! keep us updated Olivier Veyron 06-12-2003, 06:19 AM Here's mine, inspired by ZoomZoomMX-5's. I used a lower rear bumper from a Viper and am reshaping the section behind the rear wheels to match the side skirts. The wing is a modified Revell 911 piece. It's a little over the top, but it's a concept. http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/913112boxter1.JPG http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/354965boxster2.JPG deedlit 06-12-2003, 06:19 AM Can't wait to see it finished. :bigthumb: tsuchiya 06-12-2003, 06:35 AM :bigthumb: looks great~! i like the real bumper and the wing! ZoomZoomMX-5 06-12-2003, 06:52 AM Good luck with it! Great minds think alike, the Boxster looks great with the GT3 bodywork and lowered suspension. Not trying to steal your thunder, here's a couple pics of mine (started w/the regular-issue Boxster): http://images2.fotki.com/v14/photos/1/10258/17860/Boxster8-vi.jpg http://images2.fotki.com/v15/photos/1/10258/17860/Boxster9-vi.jpg flyonthewall 06-12-2003, 09:15 AM Kewl! MythosGR 06-12-2003, 09:35 AM All of them look in one word AWESOME... It's on hold now, so let's look forward to how Schnitzermann approaches his! :bigthumb: Schnitzermann 06-13-2003, 05:19 AM This how it looks like now. I´m not a fast builder, many projects rolling. I´m also putting a 1/16 RC Tiger 2 Tank together. This beast needs no body polishing huhh. Besides I think the rims in this kit has such a glossy chrome finish. It looks so toyish. So I´ll try to experiment with my airbrush to make it look real. A set of Porsche 19´´ Rüf rims would look nice, but that´s another story. exhaust smoke 06-13-2003, 05:53 AM That looks like such a great idea! So much so that I want to do one of my own too! Schnitzermann 06-16-2003, 02:49 PM Now I decided to go on superdetaling, drilled out the mesh behind seat. bigfrit 06-16-2003, 04:00 PM  Wow , she's going to get a full-on threatment then ! Love the work and energy put in it ! This might have taken long, but the result is worth it, flawless ! Olivier numbware 06-16-2003, 04:49 PM wow, all those Porsches look great GTI1800 06-16-2003, 07:30 PM Hi, i very appreciate all efforts to improve the kit..........
