What is the difference between aluminum cams and I guess stock cams, and what performance enhancements does it cause?

Well, just logically, they would be lighter, resulting in less momentum, but we're talking very slight differences, and I would imagine that they would be stronger, but I make no promises.

An aluminum cam is simply made from aluminum. If you're refering to a performance cam versus a stock cam, a performance cam opens the valve quicker, higher and holds it open longer.

I would imagine they would wear faster too, since they are made from a softer material. But yes probably lighter too.
