Timing belt....to change or not at 120k?

Just bought the 94 j30 last week with 120k miles for $2,900, (new tranny). It has a few problems such a the lower ball joint, passenger window, and the ac/heat only works on power 1 and 4. I talked to a machanic and he said, "immedietly change the timing belt," I should probably do it asap, right?

Do i have to buy new heat/ac unit, or can it be fixed?

I would replace the timing belt and the water pump, they are both located in the area and will requiered the same amount of work to do each, the dealer recommend replacement of the pump and belt at the same time, water pump in the infinity ussually start to leak by now.

The Ac control are bad or check if you have a circuit card, nissan cars do, not sure infinity, if you need one look in Ebay, they are available there under j30

Ok well I have a 94' Infiniti J30T with over 120k and i have not replaced the belt yet and my car seems to be having no problems so far, but i dont really know if i could tell when it was going bad. My advice is you should change the belt.

timming belt have to be replace at 100km if you dont do you can have a big problem i do mine today at 170km a chance it doesnt break

timming belt, water pump, crankshat seal, all dealer parts done for $700.00cn at my garage but from the dealer here it coast $1200.00cn.

after all its only $500.00 more for the same job here in quebec the dealer work rate is $88.00/hours canadian
